Who we are

Piaflo is a Shopify app that sends WhatsApp messages on behalf of merchants. The merchant is the data controller; Piaflo acts as a data processor. Contact: [email protected].

Data we process

Store data from Shopify needed to send the messages the merchant configures (customer name, phone number, email, order details, WhatsApp marketing consent), WhatsApp Business Platform data (WhatsApp account and number identifiers, incoming and outgoing messages, delivery statuses, message templates) and app usage data.

Purposes

Sending order notifications, automated flows and campaigns configured by the merchant, displaying conversations in the shared inbox, and measuring results. We never sell data and never use it for any other purpose.

Sub-processors

Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting, Germany), Zernio (WhatsApp Business Platform connectivity), Meta Platforms (WhatsApp delivery), Shopify (platform), Crisp (merchant support chat).

Retention

Conversations are kept 3 to 13 months depending on the merchant's plan, incoming media 90 days. All store data is deleted within 48 hours of the shop/redact request sent by Shopify after uninstalling.

Security

Encryption in transit (TLS), restricted access, encrypted backups, signed webhooks.

Your rights and data deletion

Customers can stop WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP. Data access and deletion requests are handled through the merchant and Shopify's privacy webhooks, or by writing to [email protected].
